🏛️ Hosting Venue

• Name: Katy Trail Ice House
• Style: The Ice House is an Austin style beer garden and restaurant, located in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail.
• Amenities: A fifty foot long bar boasts fifty beers on tap, ranging from Texas Domestics to Regional and International Imports on the draw.
• Award: We have been awarded the best patio in Dallas with our open seating communal beer garden.

🏃‍♂️ The Run

• Distance: 5K and 1M Fun Run - will take place on the beautiful Katy Trail.
• Water Stops: Water stops will be available on the 5K course at mile 1 and mile 2.

🎁 The Swag

• Brunch Pass: All American hot dog and beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age (must be 21 bring I.D.)
• Firecracker 5K T-shirt: T-shirts must be ordered ahead of time, and we cannot guess accurately who will register after we place the order and what size they might wish to receive.
• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal.

💻 Virtual Race

• Mailing: Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after the race.

Early Packet Pickup

• Day 1: Wednesday, July 2nd, 2pm-6pm
• Day 2: Thursday, July 3rd, 2pm-5pm at Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center, 6465 E Mockingbird Ln #358, Dallas, TX 75214.

Race Day Packet Pickup

• Date: July 4, 2025
• Time: 7:45am - 8:45am at the race site Katy Trail Ice House 3127 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201

🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• 7:45am - 8:45am: Late packet pickup
• 8:55am: Canine Costume Contest Winner Announced. Dress up your pup and come on for a walk!
• 9:00am: 5K starts (no late starts will be allowed)
• 10:00am: Awards Ceremony

⚠️ Course Notes

• Personal Devices: The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged.
• Safety: Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed on the 5K and 10K course, but are welcome in the 1M fun event.
• Minimum Age: The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.

🅿️ Parking

• Valet: There will be 70 VALET parking spots available at the venue.
• Cost: Valet parking will cost $5 per car.
• Street Parking: Other parking is available on the streets by the venue.

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Top Finisher Overall Male and Female
• Age Group Awards: 3 Top Male and Female Finishers in Age Groups 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
• Fun Run: The 1M fun run is not timed and has no awards, just fun.

⏱️ Timing

• 5K Timing: The 5K is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results.
• Timing Method: We will be using disposable timing tags for this event that you will receive with your bib at packet pickup.
• 1M Fun Run: The 1M fun run will not be timed.
