Check-In: 8 am | Race Begins: 9 am

🧟‍♀️ Get Ready for the Zombie Chase!

• Event Highlights: They’re back! The Zombies are hungry and out for your flags! Join us this October as we run and dodge our way to the finish line at the Running Dead 5k Fun Run & Walk.
• Celebrate Halloween: This fun community event is a great way to get friends and family active while also celebrating the Halloween holiday.
• Awards: Award medals are handed out to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each registration category broken down by age group and gender: Youth Ages 12 & Under, Ages 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
• Raffles: We will also have awesome prize raffles for participants after finishing the race, with a special raffle held for those who survive the Zombie challenge.

👻 Zombie Challenge

• Participation: All registrants can opt into this challenge by picking up a pair of flags at the main event area.
• Zombie Encounter: The Union City Youth Commission will be spread out at select locations along the race trail dressed as Zombies, and they will be out to get your flag.
• Survival Prize: Those who finish the race with at least 1 flag left on their hip will be entered into a special raffle to win a cool Halloween themed prize.

👕 Race Shirts

• Availability: A limited amount of race shirts will be available on the day of the race. Make sure to get there on time to purchase.
• Purchase Deadline: Race shirts can be purchased as an add-on by September 27, 2024.

🌦️ Rain or Shine

This race takes place rain or shine, make sure to dress for the weather conditions!

📝 Registration Information

• Pre-Registration: All pre-registrations for the race will be closed on October 18 by 4:30pm.
• Walk-Up Registrations: We will be taking walk-up registrations on the day of the race starting at 8am October 19. Please come early!
