2025 Explorer Dash 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Museum School PTO and Foundation are proud to present the Annual Explorer Dash 5K and 1-mile Fun Run event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This is a family-fun event that raises awareness about The Museum School and unites our community through the importance of incorporating healthy living and eating habits into our everyday life. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Museum School PTO/Foundation and the continued progress of our school.

🏞️ Race Details

• Event Types: 5K and 1-mile Fun Run
• 5K Course: Scenic course winding through Avondale Estates, passing by Avondale Lake with rolling hills and a downhill finish.
• 5K Start Time: 8:30 A.M. next to the TMS gym on Forrest Blvd.
• 1-Mile Fun Run Start Time: 9:30 A.M. next to the TMS gym on Forrest Blvd. All finishers (with Bib) will get a Fun Run medal!

🏅 Awards

• Medals: Given to the top M/F overall 5K finishers and top finishers in every age category of 5K.
• Qualifying Event: The 5K is an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event!
• USATF Certificate: The USATF Certificate # is GA22052WC.
• Course Instructions: Runners must stay in the right lane on the course.

👕 Registration Information

• Shirt Availability: T-shirts and swag bags are available for those registered by Feb. 23, 2025.
• Post-Deadline Registration: There are no T-shirts for those who register after Feb. 23.
• Registration Deadline: The last day to register online for the 1 Mile and 5K is March 18.
• Race Day Registration: Race Day Registrants are not guaranteed a goody bag.

📅 Packet Pickup

• When: Bib Pick-up will be on Friday (3/21) from 4:15-7pm in The Museum School gym.
• Race Day Pickup: 5K bib pick up will be from 7:15am-8am and Fun Run bib pick up will be from 7:30-9am.
• Pickup Options: You can also pick up your bib the morning of race day.

🌦️ Weather Policy

The race will be held rain or shine. Please be sure to check the local weather forecast and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
