Celebrated as one of the 20 Best Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots in America, the CPI Security Charlotte Turkey Trot is a Charlotte Thanksgiving tradition for the past 36 years!

Race Details

Join us on Thanksgiving Day morning and choose from several fun options to participate including:

• 8K Run: Enjoy a competitive race against fellow runners.
• 5K Run/Walk: A perfect blend of running and walking for all abilities.
• 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: A great option for families and beginners.
• Tot Trot: Specially designed for our youngest participants.

Starting and finishing at the SouthPark Mall, the largest road race (11,000+) in North Carolina is a homecoming destination for extended families, old classmates, and a place to meet and celebrate with neighbors. The community comes together for the official Charlotte kick-off to the holiday season!

• Event T-Shirt: Soft cotton tri-blend long-sleeve event T-shirts with a unique 2025 design.
• Finisher Medals: Finisher medals for ALL races, including the Harris Teeter Tot Trot.
• Packet Pick-Up: Multiple Pre-event Packet Pick-Up Opportunities for your convenience.
• Complimentary Beer: Complimentary beer (1PP) for all participants of age courtesy of Suffolk Punch and Legion Brewing (ID required).

• Start Line Upgrades: Focused on fun, efficiency and safety, including enhanced walker, baby jogger and runner corrals.
• Pre-Race Experience: A deejayed pre-race experience, fire trucks and live national anthem.
• Post-Race Refreshments: Harris Teeter post-race refreshments including water, granola bars, and bananas.
• Finish Festival: Featuring music, awards, event partner giveaways, costume contests and so much more.

Special Event

Harris Teeter Tot Trot: FREE and convenient, running continuous heats from 8:30-9:30AM in the Dick's parking lot.

• Holiday Toy Drive: Please bring a toy to any packet pick-up or on race morning – our goal is to collect 1,000's of toys for local kids in need.
