Run Inside the Wire Half and Full Marathon

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This unique race will take place completely within the Grafton Correctional secure perimeter. We will run a 3/4 mile loop for either a half or full marathon.

💖 Supporting a Good Cause

• Training Program: We will be running with residents that are part of the Running2bwell training program that recently started at GCI.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will support Running2bwell.
• Shoe Donation: We recently bought $5000 worth of shoes for the men at GCI and we're hoping to raise that amount at the race.

👕 Runner Experience

• Custom T-Shirt: Runners will receive a custom t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed).
• Inspiration: Most importantly, you’ll have the chance to run some miles with men that are working hard to improve their lives on their homecourt.

👗 Dress Code

• Women Runners: Female runners are allowed this year but there is a strict dress code.
• Shirt Requirement: Shirts must have sleeves.
• Shorts Requirement: Shorts must go mid-thigh. No tight or form-fitting apparel.
• Updates: More rules may follow as I get them.

🚫 Restricted Items

• No Donations: Do not give anything (hats, shirts, etc.) to the men at GCI.
• Age Requirement: All runners must be 21 or over.
• Entry Limit: For security and logistical reasons, we’re limiting entries to the first 30 to register.

⏰ Security Guidelines

• Arrival Time: You must arrive by 6:15 to clear security. This isn’t your usual race.
• Allowed Items: Runners cannot bring anything except water bottles, hats, and watches. No phones, headphones, etc.
• ID Requirement: You must bring a photo id and will need to lock your car keys in a locker at the entry point.
• Search Policy: Everyone is subject to search.
