• Event: Join us for the 8th Annual A Walk in Her Shoes

• Purpose: A powerful 2-mile community cancer awareness walk hosted by My Sister’s Keeper–Cleveland.

🤝 Partnership and Celebration

• Campus: This year’s walk will take place on the inspiring campus of Case Western Reserve University.
• Collaboration: Celebrating our meaningful new partnership with the students of CWRU, who launched the My Sister’s Keeper CWRU Chapter.
• Support: We're honored to have the continued support of Councilman Kevin Conwell.
• Community: Join us to uplift this grassroots movement and expand our reach across Greater Cleveland.

🎉 Celebration Details

• Event Purpose: A Walk in Her Shoes is a joyful celebration of strength, healing, and sisterhood.
• Awareness: We gather to honor the courageous journeys of cancer warriors.
• Entertainment: This year’s walk will be led by Da Land Brass Band.
• Note: Walking is optional! Enjoy live music, line dancing, local vendors, and health resources.

• 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Registration
• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Opening Remarks, Survivor Recognitions & Announcements
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: 2-Mile Walk through the CWRU Campus & Neighborhood
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Final Announcements, Raffles & Celebration

💼 On-Site Activities

• Community Resource Fair: Featuring partners like the Board of Elections, AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, cancer care teams & more.
• Vendor Market: Shop with some of our favorite local small businesses.
• Live Entertainment: Enjoy line dancing and other performances.
• Walk Bags: Available while supplies last.

🏆 Fundraising Opportunities

• Get Involved: Start a team and raise funds to support My Sister’s Keeper’s mission!
• Incentives: Teams that raise $100 or more will receive a custom team banner to carry during the walk.
• Prizes: Awards for Largest Team, Top Fundraising Team & Individual, Best Dressed Team.
• Creativity: Create your own shirts or outfits to stand out and represent your story!

📝 Registration Information

• Pre-Registration: Encouraged to help us plan and ensure every guest has access to supplies and event materials.
• Cost: This event is free.
