Race Description
- Theme: A fun run opportunity to dress up and scare your fellow runners.
- Course: A flat 5K in length, some runners may not make it past the first water stop.
- Scenic Route: Luminaries line the old (Dead) RT 66 course, passing the historic haunted Towanda cemetery on this out and back course.
- Timing: The run is NOT officially timed, but an illuminated clock will be present at the finish line.
Additional Details
- Flashlight: Recommended for slower runners, despite the luminaries.
- Costumes: Not required, but dressing up may earn you a prize.
- Water Stop: Located about .4 miles from the start/finish, providing water, seasonal treats, and refreshments.
- Entry Fee: Includes a coupon for a soft drink or beer at Kicks.
Race Start Time
The race starts at sundown in Towanda, which will be at 5:53 PM this year. There may be noise makers at the start, and the race will begin +/- 60 seconds of the official 5:53 PM sundown.
