Race Overview
Celebrating 48 years and still going strong! Join us for a beloved local tradition—the Beaufort Rotary Historic Road Race—on June 12, 2027. Choose from a 1M, 5K, or 10K race and be part of a family-friendly event that supports great causes. Proceeds will benefit Rotary International's Polio Plus mission to immunize children worldwide against polio.
Awards and After Party
- Celebration: Join us after the race to celebrate awards, free refreshments, and a proper after party.
- Location: The Periwinkle: Bottle Shop and Social Space located at 110 Middle Lane.
- Time: Starting at 10am with DJ BJ.
- Activities: Activities and games for kids. Food onsite.
Starting Times
All participants will start according to the schedule below:
- 7:30 am: 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 7:55 am: 5K/10K Wheelchair & Baby Jogger participants
- 8:00 am: 5K Run/10K Run
Entry Fees
- Registration: Individuals must register early to secure their desired T-shirt size. T-shirt order deadline: 5/15/2027.
- 1-Mile: $30 – REGISTRATION ON-LINE ONLY. Kids 12 and under run free.
- 5K: $40 - REGISTRATION ON-LINE ONLY. Kids 12 and under run free.
- 10K: $45 - REGISTRATION ONLINE ONLY. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Participant Guidelines
- Accessibility: Wheelchair and Baby Jogger participants are welcome in any of the three events.
- Pets: Pets are welcome on leashes or in strollers.
- Parking: The Town of Beaufort offers free parking on race morning until 10:30 a.m. for public lots only.
- Side Streets: Parking along side streets, if not designated, paid parking is free.
Packet Pickup
- Pre-registered: Participants may pick up packets on Friday, June 11th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Beaufort at the Train Depot building, 614 Broad St.
- Race Day: Packet pickup will occur in-person on-site at The Vault Parking Lot 411 Front Street, Beaufort, June 12th from 7:00- 7:30 AM.
Timing
This year's race will be timed by Run the East using disposable Bib Tags. Runners must pick up and wear their race bibs during the race. Make sure you do not bend the timing chip on the bib.
Awards
- Top Finishers: Medallions are given to the top 3 overall male & female finishers in the 10K & 5K.
- Masters: Top 3 male & female masters finishers in the 10K & 5K.
- Age Groups: Top 2 male & female age group finishers in the 10K & 5K.
- Wheelchair & Baby Joggers: Top 1 male & female wheelchair finishers in the 10K & 5K: Top 1 male & female baby joggers in the 5K.
