Santa Cruz Firecracker

🎉 40 Year Celebration of the Firecracker!

The Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise is ecstatic to announce that our full Firecracker race is back for 2025.

• Courses Available: All three courses will be hosted - 10K, 5K, and a Kid's 1K Fun Run.
• Location: The event will take place at Harvey West Park.
• Date & Time: The race is always held on July 4th in the morning.
• Celebration: Kick off a holiday celebration of our nation’s Independence Day.

🏞️ Course Details

Runners on the 10K will be treated to the challenging "Thrill of the Hill" in Pogonip Park.

• Trail Features: The course winds through the beautiful meadow by UCSC.
• Neighborhood Return: After dropping down into the neighborhoods, runners will return to Harvey West Park.
• 5K Course: Runners will face a flat and fast course contained completely in the Harvey West Business Park Area.
• Accessibility: The 5K course is Stroller, ADA and Wheelchair accessible.

🎶 Post-Race Celebration

Everyone ends up in beautiful Harvey West Park for great music and awards.

• Don't Miss Out: You don’t want to miss this!
• Referral Program: Refer a Runner! When you register, you will have an option to refer 5 people - friends or family.
• Refund Opportunity: If those people all register for the race, you will get an automatic refund on your registration.
• Referral Amounts: Total referrals for the 5K and 10K is a $10 refund and for the 1K, it is a $5 refund.
