🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Imagine the thrill of hundreds of runners and walkers taking off on a scenic coastal course, united by a mission to empower the next generation. That's the magic of the 3rd Annual Salty Sands Run/Walk, taking place on April 20th at North Beach in Fort Desoto Park.

This year, we're not just racing for the finish line – we're fueling brighter futures for underprivileged St. Petersburg students. Your participation will directly support the Rotary Club's "Rotary Gives Backpacks" program, providing essential back-to-school supplies and lighting the path to success for local children.

🏅 Race Options

• Distances: Participants can choose from a 5k, 10k, 1 mile kids race and 1 mile fun/run walk, so there is a distance for everyone and every ability.
• Included Items: Racers in the 5k, 10k and 1 mile kids race will receive a bib, Salty Sands t-shirt, and a participant medal, while the 1 mile fun run/walk will receive a t-shirt.

🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 - 7:30 am: Registration and Packet Pick Up at Start/Finisher area in North Beach
• 7:00 am: Road into North Beach is closed
• 7:15 am: Welcome and Island Belles singing of the National Anthem
• 7:20 am: 10k Race Start
• 7:30 am: 5k Race Start
• 7:40 am: 1 mile Kids Race and 1 mile fun/run walk
• 8:20 am: Kids Race Award
• 8:40 am: 5k Awards
• 8:50 am: 10k Awards
• 9:00 am: Road into North Beach re-opens

🏆 Awards

Top 3 overall in each race and each age group (10 year age brackets) will be awarded top finisher medals.
