Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge is a competitive chip-timed race up 40 floors and 800 steps of the U.S. Bancorp Tower aka “Big Pink.”

👩‍🚒 Participant Categories

• Firefighters: Outfitted in over 70lbs of full “combat gear” including Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) commonly used in the line of duty.
• Non-Firefighters: Will compete in regular athletic gear.
• Individual Titles: Participants compete for titles in both men’s and women’s categories.

💖 Fundraising Efforts

In addition, climbers compete to raise funds in the battle against cystic fibrosis. Since 2009, over a thousand firefighters from across the country and around the world have raised over $1.2 million in the fight against cystic fibrosis through the Portland Firefighter Stairclimb. Let’s make “CF” stand for “Cure Found!
