Race Overview
❤️🏃♂️ Our mission: To build self-esteem, establish support systems, and empower recovery one run at a time.
Go the Distance is a nonprofit organization that advocates for recovery through fitness, community, and compassion. Proceeds from this event will help empower more people in early recovery and support Go the Distance’s impact on our community members.
Join us for our 2nd annual GTD 5k Fun Run at Fernhill Park on Sept. 13th! Sign up to run with us for an even bigger and better event this year.
Registration Benefits
- 2026 GTD 5k Medal: Each participant will receive this medal for their achievement.
- Race Shirt: A shirt featuring all our sponsors will be provided.
- Customized GTD Bib: Participants will have a specially customized bib.
- Timing: Accurate timing will be provided, allowing you to improve your time from last year!
- Kids’ Dash: A free kids’ dash will be available!
- Virtual Options: For those who can’t make it in person, virtual 5k run/walk options will be provided.

As our valued community members that signed up to run with us last year, you are receiving a special $5 off race registration from now until Aug. 9, when the price will increase for general registration.

T-shirt pick-up will be on race day, Sunday September 13th starting at 9 am at Fernhill Park.
Race Schedule
All races will take place on Sunday, September 13th.
- 9:00 am: Opening festivities
- 9:30 am: Kids’ fun run
- 10:00 am: Go the Distance 5k
