About this race
Event Overview
The 2026 Eve Carson Memorial 5K for Education is an event to celebrate the outstanding leadership and support of community service Eve Carson exhibited during her time at UNC-Chapel Hill. This year, the 19th Annual Eve Carson Memorial 5K will be held on November 8, 2026, with registration and check-in starting at 6:00 am and the race beginning at 7:30 am!
Race Details
- Location: Bynum Hall/Circle
- Packet Pickup: Will occur Friday, November 6 on campus (details coming soon!).
- Race Day Pickup: If unable to pick up your packet in advance, it can also be picked up before the race starts on November 8th.
- Pre-Race Festivities: Start at 7:15 am and include a performance by the Clef Hangers, as well as surprises to help celebrate this exciting event!
Participation Information
- Virtual Participants: Can join the Strava group to track their run or walk.
- Competition Period: Virtual participants can compete until 11:59 pm November 13th.
- Community Support: The Eve Carson 5K has become one of the most widely supported philanthropy events in the Carolina community.
- Beneficiaries: Proceeds will benefit the Eve Marie Carson Memorial Junior-Year Merit Scholarship and the Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund.
