Event Overview

Join the Davie Community Foundation SURF Board on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026 as they raise money to fund youth led grants, that benefit youth and children in Davie County, NC.

• Event: 13th Annual Popsicle 5K
• Date: February 21, 2026
• Location: Mocksville Elementary, Mocksville, NC
• Time: Kicks off at 8:30 AM: Packet pick up starts at 7:15 AM

Participation

The Popsicle 5K welcomes all abilities of runners. Not a runner? No worries, walkers are welcome too!

• Family Event: Fun activities for everyone
• Costume Contest: Wear your favorite wintry costume
• Brain Freeze Challenge: Eat a popsicle at start, middle, and end
• Zero K: Support the event without running

Kids Activities

Kids 8 and under who are not running will be entertained by SURF students while mom and dad run the race.

Purpose of the Event

All proceeds from the Popsicle 5K will support youth led projects in Davie County.

Race Fees

Race fees vary based on registration date and participant type.

• Runner & Walker: $15 Early Bird (by 10/31), $20 (11/1 - 12/31), $25 (till 1/31), $30 (till 2/19), $35 on race day
• 5K Team Registrants: $10 Early Bird (by 10/31), $15 (12/31), $20 (till 1/31), $30 (till 2/19), $35 on race day
• Davie County Students and Staff: $10 (by 12/31), $15 (till 1/31), $20 (till 2/19), $30 on race day
• Zero K: $20 for those who want to support without running

Important Information

• Waiver: All participants must sign a waiver to participate
• No Pets: No pets allowed on course
• Food: Great food and prize opportunities after the race
