Harmony Silvester

🎉 Event Overview

The Harmony Silvester Celebration is a family-focused event in Historic Harmony that honors its German heritage by celebrating Silvester (New Year’s Eve) on German time-6:00 PM (midnight in Germany). Kicking off the event, there is a 5K race starting at 3:30 PM, followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run at 4:15. At 6 PM, we will count down in German to a ball-drop, followed by fireworks and singing of Auld Lang Syne. Other activities include vendors, and a Christmas tree and wreath toss.

• 5K shirt: 5K runners receive a long-sleeve race shirt while the inventory lasts. Guaranteed size must be made by December 8th.

📍 Event Location

Event Start Location - Day of registration will be held in the Grace Church Gymnasium at 538 Main Street, Harmony, PA 16037 starting at 2 PM. Changing facilities available in the gym. Please note the gym will close at 5:45 PM so the volunteers can attend the countdown.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup - Early packet pickup at Grace Church Gymnasium (Dec 30th - 4 - 7 PM). Race day starting at 2:00 PM at the gym.

Weather - We will hold the event except for extreme weather (lightning, etc.)

🚗 Parking Information

Parking - Ample parking available at the church and nearby lots.

🏃‍♀️ 5K Course Description

5K Course Description - Race starts and ends across from the entrance to the Harmony Museum parking lot on Mercer Street. Course is an out and back starting out going slightly downhill, then one large hill followed by a flat stretch parallel to the Connoquenessing Creek. The last 1/2 mile to the finish will be slightly uphill.

🏃 1 Mile Course Description

1 Mile Course Description - Race starts on Wood Street directly across from the Harmony Inn. Course is flat and remains in town doing a loop.

🏆 Awards

• 5K - Top 3 Male & Female Overall. Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14: 15-19: 20-24: 25-29: 30-34: 35-39: 40-44: 45-49: 50-54: 55-59: 60-64: 65-69: 70-74: 75-79: 80+. Awards can be picked up in the gymnasium immediately following the race. Note the gym will close at 5:45 so the volunteers can attend the countdown.
• 1 Mile participants receive a finisher's medal. Parents may run free with their children under age 5.

Refunds - Sorry, no refunds. All proceeds benefit Harmony parks, trail & canoe launch.
