Karen P. Nakon Breast Cancer Foundation Turkey Dash 2024

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• Date: Thursday, November 28th, 2024

• Description: The Karen P. Nakon Breast Cancer Foundation’s 21st annual family-friendly 5k run/walk “The Turkey Dash” will be held on Thanksgiving morning.

🎉 Participation Details

• Participants: Over 1500 runners, walkers, and spectators join together to support breast cancer patients in Northeast Ohio.
• Early Registration: Register by November 1, 2024, for early bird pricing.
• Post-Race Amenities: Pumpkin pie, coffee, hot chocolate, water, and fruit are available at the finish line for all participants.
• Awards: Top three male and female finishers will receive awards along with medals for the top three finishers in each age bracket (9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24,… 75-79, 80+).

• Tradition: The annual Turkey Dash is a great family-friendly tradition to give thanks for your own health and support the health of others.
• Fundraising: Over the last 20 years, the Turkey Dash has raised over $500,000 for families in Northern Ohio impacted financially by a breast cancer diagnosis.
• Finish Time: Participants are home in plenty of time to baste the turkey!

📅 Event Details and Schedule

• Racecourse: Certification code: OH 19020MW. Flat loop through neighboring developments.
• Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, November 27th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Avon High School or on race day starting at 7:30 a.m.
• Start Time: Race starts promptly at 9:00 a.m.
• Parking: All cars must enter Avon High School off Detroit Road. Plenty of free parking available.
• Pets and Strollers: Strollers and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome.
