Herndon Turkey Trot 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Organizer: Herndon Parks and Recreation is hosting the annual Turkey Trot 5K at the Herndon Community Center.
• Date & Time: The race will begin at 4:00pm on November 23.
• Packet Pick-Up: Available on November 22 from 5:00-7:00pm and on race day from 1:30pm-3:30pm.
• T-shirt Guarantee: Long sleeve race T-shirts guaranteed to the first 350 pre-registered runners. Must be picked up on race day.

🏆 Awards and Costumes

• Top Finishers: Awards for top three male/female finishers.
• Costume Awards: Best individual and group costumes judged before the race at 3:40pm.

📝 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Available at herndon-va.gov and active.com.
• Pre-Registration: Adults (21 & up) $40 and a can of food for donation: Youth (20 & under) $25 and a can of food for donation.
• Race Day Registration: Adults (21 & up) $45: Youth (20 & under) $30, both with a can of food for donation.
• Registration Deadline: Online pre-registration ends at 12:00pm on November 22.

🥡 Food Donation

• Beneficiary: All food donations will be given to LINK.
• Donations: Participants are encouraged to bring a can of food for donation.

🚫 Race Policies

• Prohibited Items: Strollers, bikes, and dogs are not permitted in the race.
• Time Limit: All runners must finish the 5K in 45 minutes.

🗺️ Event Details and Schedule

• Location: Please arrive early as parking fills up at the Herndon Community Center, located at 814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA.
• Course Info: The course is a mixture of trail and street running, so please wear appropriate footwear.
