Run the Vineyards - Running Hare Fall 5K
Join us for the 9th Annual 5K Fall Race at the beautiful Running Hare Vineyard, a stunning 300+ acre property in Prince Frederick, MD. Experience amazing views, delicious wine, a biergarten, and more at Maryland's Premier Winery!
Amenities and Features
- Scenic Course: Explore a 5K route through the Vineyard. Race begins at 9 AM.
- Timing: Chip timed race with instant results available.
- Complimentary Beverage: Enjoy a glass of wine or beer for participants aged 21 and over.
- Live Music: A musician will perform from immediately after the race until noon.
Race Gear
- Custom Tech Tee: Included with registration or upgrade to a long sleeve tech for an additional $6. Women's, Men's/Unisex, and Youth options available. Register by September 27 to guarantee size choices.
- Souvenir Glass: Receive a "Run the Vineyards" stemless wine glass.
- Finisher Medals: Available for $8 during registration or $10 on race day (while supplies last).
- Photography: Professional photographer will capture the moments, with free downloadable photos available 24-48 hours after the race.
Awards and Participation
- Awards: Given to the top 3 male and female overall winners as well as age group winners (ages 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years).
- Food Vendor: Enjoy offerings from Heidi's Eats, available for runners and spectators.
- Walkers Welcome: Participants of all ages can join. There is a 1-hour time limit to complete the course. All must register for safety.
- Open to Spectators: Enjoy the winery and beer garden after the race.
Important Information
- Race Day Packet Pick-up: Available from 7:30-8:30 AM at the "Good Day for a Run" tent. Arrive early to collect your race number and shirt. Late arrivals may still receive swag but cannot start after 9 AM for safety reasons.
- Volunteering: Volunteers receive a glass of wine at the after-party and a free entry for a future race. Check the "Volunteer" tab for details.
- Rain or Shine: The race takes place regardless of weather conditions. No refunds or deferrals will be provided.
