YETI OR NOT Snowshoe Invasion

Event Overview

Get out your snowshoes and join the Vernon Township Board of Recreation at Mountain Creek on January 31, 2026 to take on the mountain and look for the mysterious YETI!

Challenges Available

• 5k Option: Choose a 5k tromp across the ridge of the Mountain.
• Final Mile: For a little less of an excursion, you can take the final mile option (this option is not timed).
• Winter Skills: Either option will spark the best of your winter skills!
• All Abilities: Runners, walkers or those trying out snowshoes for the first time – ALL ARE WELCOME!

Registration Details

• Early Registration: Register by 12/31/2025 to get the early discount base registration fee of $25.
• Post New Year: After we ring in the new year, registration is $30.
• Bring Your Own Shoes: BYOS (bring your own shoes).
• Check-In: Registration and check in at 7:30am in the Biergarten at Mountain Creek's Red Tail Lodge.

Event Schedule

• Lift Starts: The lift will take people up the mountain starting at 8:00am.
• Race Start: The race begins at 9:00am.
• Location: 200 Route 94, Vernon, NJ.
