What: Sunshine Double-- 50K, Marathon, Half marathon, 10K, and 5K each day. Small, friendly events on a flat, paved, partly shaded bike/running path. Convenient parking.

Location: Cady Way Park (Look for the Cady Way Pool).

Availability: Ample parking near race start/finish and right on the course.
Overflow: An overflow parking lot nearby and a school across the street.
⚠️ Important Notices
Timing: Races are not chip timed. We are old-fashioned hand timed.
Certification: Courses are not certified. No Boston qualifier.
Awards: No age group awards, no t-shirts, no useless bling.
Hydration: Cupless—bring your own bottle.
🎉 What to Expect
No Frills: These events are low-key, casual, but FUN. Ideal for first timers.
Basic Amenities: You don’t get t-shirts, hats, socks, age group awards, or hot food at finish.
What You Do Get: Low entry fees, a simple finisher’s medal, and generous time limits.
Course Information: The courses are lap courses, meaning you’ll do a short loop multiple times.
🏃♂️ Course Details
Marathon/Half Marathon/50K: Approximately 2.2 miles per lap. Full marathon is twelve laps, half is six, and 50K is fourteen laps plus two short laps at the end.
5K/10K: Approximately 1.55 miles per lap—two laps for 5K and four laps for 10K.
Turn-arounds: Will be clearly marked. Rubber bands will help keep track of your laps.
Safety: You are responsible for crossing streets safely.
💧 Aid Station Information
Location: The only aid station is at the start/finish location, which you will pass twice each lap.
Supplies: Chilled water, Gatorade, soda, and sweet and salty snacks will be provided.
Cupless Race: Bring your own hydration device—water bottle or hydration belt/pack.
Ice: Ice will be provided for drinks, and a bucket of ice water will be available for cooling.
🚻 Restroom Facilities
Location: Bathrooms are a short walk from the start/finish.
Facilities: Inside permanent structure bathrooms with soap and water.
Access: You will pass them during each lap.
🌅 Light Conditions
Daylight: It will be just starting to break daylight at the start, but still dark in places on the course.
Sunrise: Sunrise is at 6:44.
Recommendation: We recommend having a light for the first half hour.
📦 Drop Bag Information
Location: Start/finish is in a small pavilion where you may leave a drop bag.
🏁 Finish Line Procedures
Notification: When you finish, ring the bell or let the timer know you’re finished.
Timing: Without this, you won’t get an accurate finish time.
Reminder: We are hand-timed—no timing chips!

Volunteers: We always need volunteers: each full volunteer day earns a free long run or runs.
