Timing: Races are not chip timed: we are old-fashioned hand timed.
Certification: Courses are not certified: no Boston qualifier.
Awards: No age group awards, no t-shirts, no useless bling.
Hydration: Cupless—bring your own bottle.

Course Layout: These are lap courses: short loops allow you to see other runners and access facilities each lap.
Courses
Marathon, Half Marathon, 50K: Each lap is approximately 2.2 miles — the full marathon is twelve laps, half is six, and 50K is fourteen laps plus two short laps.
5K and 10K: The lap is approximately 1.55 miles—two laps for the 5K and four laps for the 10K.
Turn-arounds: Clearly marked for each distance: rubber bands provided to help keep track of laps.
Hydration and Amenities
Aid Station: At the start/finish location with chilled water, Gatorade, snacks.
Cupless: Bring your own hydration device: small paper cups provided.
Heat Precautions: Ice for hydration: bucket of ice water available.
Bathrooms: A walk from the start/finish: permanent structure with soap and water.
Safety and Essentials
Light: Recommended to have a light for the first half hour: sunrise at 6:44.
Drop Bag: Leave at the start/finish in a small pavilion.
Finish Line: Ring the bell or notify the timer upon finishing for an accurate time.
Community and Volunteers
