Event Overview
- Date: May 29th, 2026
- Location: 110 Main St SE, Brewster, OH
- Description: The 18th Annual Shearer's Food Chip Chase 5K Run/Walk will be held in downtown Brewster with a Kids Fun Run (this is an unmeasured, approx. 100-yard fun run.)
- Beneficiary: All proceeds from the event will benefit the Brewster Fireman Association.
Schedule
- 5:30 PM: Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration
- 7:00 PM: The Chip Off the Old Block Kids Run
- 7:30 PM: The 5K Run/Walk will start
- Discount: A family discount of $5 after the first registrant for the 5K event!
Family Fun Activities
- Raffles: Enjoy various raffles throughout the event.
- Kids Activities: Kids 8 & under can participate in the Kids Fun Run.
- Goodies: All 'little Chips' will receive a t-shirt, medal, and finishers goodie bag!
- Shirts: Shirts are guaranteed only to those who register by 05-13-2026.
Awards
- Overall Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female
- Wheelchair Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female Wheelchair
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male & Female in various age groups (9 and Under, 10-13, 14-18, etc.)
- Finishing Location: All racers will finish in Bimeler Park where refreshments and awards will be held.
Support and Donations
- Beneficiary: Proceeds support the Brewster Fireman Association.
- Donation Link: Donations can be made through the donation link.
- Registration Donations: Donations can also be made during the registration process.
- Volunteers: Volunteers are welcome and needed for the event.
Virtual Participation
- Option: A virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
- Shipping: Items for the virtual option will be shipped after the event by June 15.
- Time Posting: Virtual times can be posted from May 29 to June 15!
