About the Event

• Purpose: The Friends of the Poor Walk is a nationwide signature event of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This event is being held to raise awareness and funds supporting the local Conference of Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach.
• Race Type: This is our 3rd Annual event and will be a 5K out and back run or walk from the Church parking lot onto Banana River Drive and a nearby residential neighborhood.
• Registration Fees: $28.00 (plus fees), Kids registration for ages Pre-K through 17 years old for $15.00 (plus fees).
• Family Rate: For families of 3-6 members, the cost will be $50.00 (plus fees). Register your entire family by clicking on Multi-Person Pricing.

Post-Race Information

• Refreshments: Post-race refreshments will be available for participants.
• Virtual Option: Not in town for the event? You can do it virtually—just click on the link to register.

Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Our Saviour Catholic Church in the Angel Room (located adjacent to the church).
• Dates: September 19 from 11:00am-4:00pm and September 25 from 3:00pm-7:00pm.
• Race Day Pick-Up: Packet pick-up is also on race day starting at 6:45am.

Event Schedule

• 6:45am: Same Day registration and Packet Pick Up
• 7:30am: Registration Closes
• 8:00am: Race Start

Chip Timing

• Timing: All participants are chip timed.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Overall Male, 2nd Place Male and 3rd Place Male.
• Overall Female: Overall Female, 2nd Place Female and 3rd Place Female.
• Masters Awards: Overall Male Masters and Overall Female Masters.
• Grand Masters: Overall Male Grand Masters and Overall Female Grand Masters.

Youth Awards

• Top 3 Males: For ages 12 and under and ages 13-18.
• Top 3 Females: For ages 12 and under and ages 13-18.

Parking

• Location: Parking will be located at Our Saviour Catholic Church.

Dogs

• Policy: Dogs are welcomed, but they must be on a leash.
