About the Event

• Purpose: The Friends of the Poor Walk is a nationwide signature event of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
• Goal: This event is being held to raise awareness and funds supporting the local Conference of Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach.
• Format: This is our 3rd Annual event and will be a 5K out and back run or walk from the Church parking lot onto Banana River Drive and nearby residential neighborhood.
• Fees: Registration fee is $28.00 (plus fees) and a kids registration for ages Pre-K through 17 years old for $15.00 (plus fees).

Event Schedule

• Packet Pick-Up: On 9/19 from 10:00am-3:00pm and on 9/25 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Our Saviour Catholic Church.
• Race Day Check-In: Packet Pick-up is also available on race day starting at 6:45am.
• Registration Closes: 7:30am
• Race Start: 8:00am

Post-Race Activities

• Refreshments: Post-race refreshments will be available for participants.
• Kids Dash: A free kids dash after the 5K is completed.
• Chip Timing: All participants are chip timed.
• Virtual Participation: Not in town for the event? You can do it virtually, just click on the link to register.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Overall Male, 2nd Place Male, 3rd Place Male, Overall Female, 2nd Place Female, 3rd Place Female.
• Masters Awards: Overall Male Masters and Overall Female Masters.
• Grand Masters Awards: Overall Male Grand Masters and Overall Female Grand Masters.
• Youth Awards: Top 3 Males and Top 3 Females ages 12 and under and ages 13-18.

Additional Information

• Parking: Parking will be located at Our Saviour Catholic Church.
• Dogs: Dogs are welcomed, but they must be on a leash.
