Event Overview

• Join us: to run, or walk, our beautiful 5k race route in Westbrook.
• Community Event: Westbrook Public Schools PTO is proud to present this community wide event to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle in our town.
• Support Youth: This event raises money for young students at our district's schools!
• Family Activities: The race will feature family friendly activities, food, and awards for each division.

Course Description

• Certification: USATF certified course (License#149019).
• Start Point: Begins at Daisy Ingraham elementary school.
• Scenic Views: Features picturesque views of Long Island Sound along Seaside Avenue.
• Turnaround: Includes a turnaround point before reversing back to the finish at Daisy.

Kids Fun Run

• Start Time: Kicks off behind the school at 9:30am.
• Organization: Thank you to our good friends at the Valley Shore YMCA for organizing this fun event!
• Family Involvement: It’s a great way to get the whole family involved!

Entry Information

• Online Entry: $33 (before 3/15/2026), thereafter $38. (Prices include race entry and processing fees)
• Registration: Via online entry only: registration closes at 9:30 am 3/21/2026.
• Kids Fun Run: $10 (Register online only: registration closes at 9:00 am 3/21/2026.)

Race Shirts

• Availability: Race shirts are available to all 5K and Kids Fun Run participants for an additional fee of $5.
• Order Deadline: Shirts must be ordered before 3/1/2026.
• On-Site Purchase: A limited number of race shirts will be available for purchase on race day.

Parking

• Carpool: We encourage all participants to carpool as parking onsite fills up quickly.
• Parking Locations:
  • Daisy Ingraham School front parking lot.
  • Westbrook Public Library UPPER parking lot ONLY - the bottom lot is reserved for library patrons.
  • Along the side of the road leading into Daniel Wren Park.
  • Oxford Academy parking lot on Route 1.

Race Schedule

• Packet Pick-up: Advance packet pick-up at Marathon Sports, Old Saybrook on Friday March 20, 2026.
• Registration Time: Opens at 8:00 am.
• Kids Fun Run Start: 9:30 am.
• 5K Run / Walk Start: 10:00 am.
• Post Race Activities:
  • Kids activities available.
  • Bake sale for a quick burst of energy and a raffle for prizes donated by sponsors.
  • Awards ceremony near the school entrance shortly following the 5K.

• Age Group Awards: Male and Female age group winners in categories.
