RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot 2025 – A 13 Year Central Arkansas Thanksgiving Tradition!

After an incredible 2024 event, the 14th Annual Gobbler Turkey Trot is back this Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, hosted by Rock City Running! Held at the Market Place Shopping Center, 11121 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Suite 37B, Little Rock, AR 72212, this event promises another amazing morning of fitness, fun, and giving back to our community.

Thanks to over 1,700 Turkey Trotters who registered last year and generously donated food, this cherished tradition continues to grow, helping provide thousands of meals through the Arkansas Foodbank. This year, we’re reviewing every aspect of the event to make it even better—expect some surprises in 2025!

How to Participate:

• Event Type: The RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot remains a FREE family fun event.
• Goal: Fostering community fellowship while making a meaningful contribution to the Arkansas Foodbank.
• Entry Fee: A donation of canned goods, non-perishable food items, or cash to help those in need.
• Call to Action: Let’s make 2025 another record-breaking year for donations and community support!

Shirts Available:

• Price: $25 for adults and $25 for youth.
• Registration: Register early to secure your shirt.
• Drawings: Be eligible for exclusive drawings!
• Date: Date to be Determined.

Registration and Donations:

• Free Participation: Though participation is free, donations are welcome.
• Purpose: Help cover event costs like porta-potties, insurance, and water stations.
• Donation Options: Donations can be made during registration or at the event.
• Food Drop-off: Want to donate food but can’t attend on Thanksgiving Day? Drop off your items at Rock City Running up to one week before the event.

Drawings:

• Pre-registration: By pre-registering for the RCR Gobbler Turkey Trot, you’ll secure your spot.
• Entries: Gain entry into the exclusive drawings for giveaways.
• Note: This drawing is only for those who pre-register, so sign up early!

Tom’s Tiny Trot: (ages 0-8)

Bring the little ones (ages 0-8) to join in Tom’s Tiny Trot! This short and exciting race around the parking lot is perfect for young runners and walkers. It takes place before the main event, ensuring lots of cheers and smiles. Come and line the course and cheer these Tom’s Tiny Trotters. Each Trotter will receive a finishers medal.

Santa’s Back!

Santa will be on-site, ready to collect your donations and spread holiday cheer. Don’t miss your chance to snap a photo with him and share your holiday spirit!

Bring Your Furry Friends:

Furry friends are welcome, but for everyone’s safety, keep your pets on a short leash, especially near large crowds and the starting area.

Strollers Welcome:

Strollers are welcome on all the courses, making this event perfect for families with young children!

Course Options:

Choose from three fun, scenic road routes, all starting and finishing at Rock City Running. These stroller-friendly courses ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. Please note, limited traffic control will be in place, so participants are responsible for their own safety when crossing roads. Remember—this is NOT A RACE. Take your time, enjoy the morning, and focus on the fellowship and giving back to the community.

Water & Refreshments:

Water stations will be after the run to help you rehydrate.
