Portage Winter Blast

❄️ Event Overview

The 13th Annual Portage Winter Blast Half Marathon/10K/5K is organized by Kalamazoo Area Runners and the City of Portage in a community celebration of health and wellness.

A race for runners, hosted by runners - a great training event for the Kalamazoo Marathon.

📦 Packet Pick Up

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP: Saturday, February 22th, 11:00am – 3:00pm

Packet Pick-Up will be at the Mitten Running Co. Store located in the Southland Mall – 6290 S Westnedge Ave Portage, MI 49002.

• Signage: There will be signage in front of the store as well as in the parking lot to direct packet pick-up.
• Parking: They are located at Southland Mall so there will be plenty of parking available.
• Efficiency: Pick-up is a 15 minute or less task.

EVENT DAY PACKET PICK-UP: Sunday, February 23rd, 6:30 am - 8:00 am

Participants can also pick up on race morning at the event site.

📝 Registration

Payment must be made when you register - there will be NO payment accepted at packet pick-up or race day.

As well, there is no paper registrations. If you are planning to register day of, please bring a device that you can register on.

There is no shirt guarantee for transfers or registrations received after February 11th, 2025.

⏰ Race Times

• Half Marathon: 8:00 a.m. start time
• 5K: 8:10 a.m. start time
• 10K: 8:20 a.m. start time

💲 Registration Fees

• Half Marathon: $55 - Until January 11th ($10 discount for KAR members) FEES INCLUDE TECH LONG SLEEVE TEE SHIRT.
• Half Marathon: $75 - January 12th to February 21st
• Half Marathon: $85 - February 22nd and February 23rd
• 5K/10K: $25 - Until January 11th ($5 discount for KAR members) REDUCED REGISTRATION FEE WITHOUT A TECH TEE SHIRT. PARTICIPANTS MAY ORDER A SHIRT WITH A $25 EXTRA CHARGE.
• 5K/10K: $30 - January 12th to February 21st
• 5K/10K: $35 - February 22nd and February 23rd
