2026 KAR Turkey Trot Time Prediction Run

The 2026 KAR Turkey Trot is a family-friendly run and a holiday tradition for so many!

Race Details

• Date: Thursday, November 26, 2026
• Race Start Time: 9:00am
• Location: 7361 Moorsbridge Rd, Portage, MI 49024 (Behind Moorsbridge Elementary School on the Cross-Country Course)

Event Type

This is a time‑prediction run where awards go to runners who finish closest to their predicted time. It’s a unique challenge that rewards pacing and precision.

Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards for the top male and female finishers in each age division, as well as the overall male, female, and non-binary open winners.
• Cut-off Time: 45 minutes to be included in official results.
• Awards Ceremony: Begins at 9:50am.
• Best Dressed: Prizes awarded to the best dressed runners.

Participant Information

• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal.
• Door Prizes: Eligible to win one of our door prizes!
• T-shirts: Long sleeve event t-shirts are available for $25.00.
• Dress Code: Participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire.

Prohibited Items

Please, no bicycles or dogs in this unique event. No refunds or transfers.

Donations

Non-perishable food and monetary donations for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes will be accepted at the event. Proceeds from registrations and online donations will support the Turkey Trot and the Kalamazoo Area Runners (KAR).

Packet Pick Up

• Early Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at Mitten Running Company, Southland Mall, 6290 S. Westnedge Ave from 3pm-7pm.
• Day of Event Packet Pick Up: Thursday, November 26, 2026 at Moorsbridge Elementary School from 7:30am-8:45am.

Registration Fees

• Pre-Registration (Individuals): $25.00 until Tuesday, November 24th (11:59 pm).
• Pre-Registration (Family Pack): $60.00 (4 Family Members or More).
• Late Online Registration: $30 / person on Wednesday and Thursday.
• Event Day Registration: $30/person.

Long Sleeve Tee Shirts

• Price: Long Sleeve Tee Shirts are an extra $25.00 (unisex, tech material).
• Availability: Will be available to order during registration. Sizes and quantities may be limited.
• On-site Purchases: Additional long sleeve t-shirts will be available during packet-pickup on a first come, first serve basis.
