🏖️ Race Details

Taking place in historic Point Loma with the swim in the beautiful calm San Diego Bay, the bike course offers a challenging and hilly route as racers ride through the Naval Base at Pt. Loma to the lighthouse and ends with a run along NTC Park at Liberty Station. This Triathlon is Southern California at its best. The bay swim is supported by lifeguards and swim buddies. Come join us for the Sprint or Olympic Distance Triathlon.

Sprint Aquathlon (13yrs & older): 500 Meter swim - 5K run

Olympic Triathlon (16yrs & older): 1500 meter swim - 40K bike - 10K run

International Aquabike (16yrs & older): 1500-meter swim - 40K bike

All distances award points for the San Diego Triathlon Series!

Pre-Race Check-In & Packet Pick-Ups (Must attend one)

Date: Friday, September 12th

Location: NTC Park in Liberty Station, 601 Farragut Rd. San Diego, CA 92106

Mandatory: All athletes must attend pre-race check-in
ID Required: Mandatory for all athletes
Waivers: Must have signed waivers in hand
Membership Proof: Show proof of USAT annual membership or purchase a one-day membership
Pickup Rules: Friends and family members will NOT be allowed to pick up for an athlete
Late Fee: $10 late fee on race morning for those who didn't attend Friday check-in

5:00 a.m: Transition Area Opens/ Late Registration & Packet Pick Up Opens
6:15 a.m: International Triathlon Waves Begin
6:30 a.m: Transition Area Closes/ Late Registration & Packet Pick Up Closes
7:15 a.m: Sprint Duathlon Begins
7:20 a.m: Sprint Triathlon Waves Begin
7:45 a.m: 5K Starts
10:00 a.m: Sprint Awards Ceremony
12:30 p.m: Transition Area Closes. All bikes must be removed

Refund Policy: Refunds will NOT be issued after a registration has taken place. Considerable effort goes into producing an event, and funds are expended and applied in good faith based on a registration.
