• Course: Runs through Hillsborough's beautiful River Walk

💔 About Captain Kevin Dendy

• Background: Local to the Hillsborough/North Durham community
• Service: Commissioned into the North Carolina National Guard, served in Kuwait during Covid-19
• Passions: Outdoor activities including running, hiking, swimming, and riding motorcycles
• Tragedy: Lost his life in a motorcycle accident on December 29, 2021

• Significance: The Wounded Warrior Project was very important to Kevin

• Time: Available on race day beginning at 8:30am

• Route Note: Some areas along the route are narrow, especially the covered bridge

• Categories: Awards for top 3 overall male and female finishers
