About CPALS

• Mission: CPALS is a non-profit student organization at UNC-Chapel Hill that supports pediatric hematology and oncology patients.
• Partnership: We work closely with UNC Hospitals to create meaningful relationships with our pals!
• Volunteer Opportunities: Members can apply for a 1:1 Pal to support a specific patient and their family.
• Impact: These relationships greatly benefit both our patients and volunteers.

• Scholarship Program: We raise funds for the CPALS Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance for college expenses.
• CPALS Cares Grant: We supply immediate financial support to families through gift cards to restaurants and convenience stores.

Race Details

• Aim: The Golden Heroes 5K aims to raise awareness and funds for our cause, honoring the childhood cancer awareness ribbon.
• Registration: Every registration contributes to a donation going directly to the clinic, with no T-shirts provided this year.
• Race Day Perks: Participants will receive free bagels, and gift certificates will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
• Packet Pickup: Join us on March 7th from 12-5 pm at Fleet Feet Carrboro and enjoy the excitement leading up to race day!
