The Nate the Great Race is held in conjunction with the Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend.
💰 Purpose of the Race
- Proceeds: The proceeds from the race started out building the “dream” of a state of the art track facility.
- Community Support: When that was accomplished, the race continued on for numerous other community efforts.
🎓 Beneficiaries
- Scholarships: The race currently supports scholarships.
- Programs: Summer conditioning programs, youth track meets, health & fitness classes, and the office of the aging.
- Community Initiatives: Numerous other community-based programs benefit from the race.
- Fundraisers: You can find the Canastota Running Club baskets at fundraisers whenever there is a time of need.
