🎯 Event Description

• Purpose: A charity fundraiser event now in its 11th year benefiting local initiatives to improve delivery of mental health care in the Hampton Roads area.
• Courses: The race is a certified fast out and back 5K course and a 1-mile Fun Run that courses through the scenic Harbour View area of Suffolk that runs alongside a golf course and passes several beautiful lakes.
• Race Bling: Includes an awesome custom long sleeve tech running shirt and custom running socks for the first 250 at packet pick up.
• Extras: Coffee and donuts served after the race.

🗺️ Course Description

• Start/Finish: Start and finish areas are located at Towne Bank University.
• Scenery: The race route is a certified scenic, flat, paved 5K and 1-mile course that meanders through neighborhood streets along a golf course.
• Support: Water stops and course marshals will be present.

💰 Benefit Information

• Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will be used by the Chas Foundation to improve access to local mental health care.
• Engagement: Board members will be on site to answer any questions and explain ongoing programs this race supports.

🏆 Awards

• New Course Record: 5K - Male 15:59, Female 18:04:48 will receive a $300 cash award with the race medal. Anyone breaking the Virginia state outdoor 5K record will receive $500.
• Overall Winners: Overall Male and Female Winners as well as Masters winners not breaking the course record will receive a medal, a $50 cash award, and a $50 Running Etc. gift card.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers in each 10-year age group (from age 10 to age 80) will receive Running Etc. gift cards and a medal.
• 1 Mile Fun Run: No awards are given in the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
