2025 Max's Race for The Davies Project

👟 Max's Race Overview

Max's Race for The Davies Project 2025, our 20th annual in-person 5k run/walk, will be held on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. Consider a scavenger hunt of Max's favorite things such as the moon, the color orange, or MSU's mascot Sparty to honor the legacy of Max who passed away at the age of 6 due to complications from meningitis.

💛 Event Support

Proceeds from the event will support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges.

👕 Participant Benefits

• T-shirt: All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt.
• Medal: Everyone will also receive a finisher's medal.

👪 Special Pricing

• Group Savings: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $5 per person. Valid for the 5k.

🏆 Awards

Overall awards to top male and female finisher. Awards to top 3 in each 5-year age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Virtual times will not be counted toward age group awards.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Friday Pickup: June 20th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Playmakers in Okemos.
• Race Day Pickup: 7:00 am to 8:45 am on the morning of the race in the center of Akers and Hubbard Hall courtyard.

⏰ Race Day Start Times

5K run/walk starts at 8AM, kids mile starts at 9:15AM, followed by kids sprint.

📈 Timing

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Playmakers.com.
