Event Overview

Rad Racing Company proudly presents... the 2nd Annual Memorial Day Hero Salute!!

Every Memorial Day, we meet at the Town Center Park in Kingwood to honor those who gave it all for our freedoms by completing/competing in one of two Hero Races: MURPH / LOREDO, or a Half-Marathon / 5K/10k... 10 and Under fun: Kids Mini-Salute (short mini hero race).

POST-RACE will end with a Kids and Winners Tug-of-War Competition!!

So, before you fire-up those grills and put on your swimsuit, lace-up your kicks and come alongside us to raise funds for our awesome Heroes/Families and push yourself to a new level of courage.

They did it for us... we can do it for them!

Event Details

The event benefits these charities:

• Charities: Semper Fi & Americas Fund, Impact a Hero, We Run for Him
• Donation: Please consider making a direct donation and creating your own fundraiser to any of these worthy partner organizations.
• Top Fundraiser: Will receive a full refund of their registration.
• Individual Donations: All donations of $25 or more will receive a discount on registration and be entered into a drawing for free race entry.

Participant Benefits

• Swag: All event participants will receive a Custom Race Shirt, Finishers Medal, and Race Bib.
• Awards: Overall award winners and age placement will receive for Top 3.
• Exclusive MDHS Swag Pack: Limited quantity available at check-out, packet pick-up, and event until we run out!
• Sign Up Deadline: Be sure to sign up by April 26th to guarantee finisher shirt and size!

Race Descriptions

• MURPH: 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air-squats, 1-mile run.
• LOREDO: 24 air-squats, 24 push-ups, 24 lunges, .25-mile run (timed: 6 rounds).
• KIDS SALUTE: .25-mile run, 12 air-squats, 12 push-ups, 12 sit-ups, .25-mile run (timed: 1 round).
• Tug of War: M/F Award Winners for Murph, Loredo, Half & 5k and Kids divided amongst top 6!

Event Coordination

• Pre-Race Fun: Music, Sponsor/Vendor Booths, AND Donation Drawing!
• Post-Race Fun: Live results, awards, TUG-of-WAR, refreshments, and music!

Volunteering

Volunteer then Run is our highly discounted registration to help with Race Day and Pre-Race Day Packet-Pick-Up. After Packet Pick-Up is over, you can run and then after help with Award Distribution, Finish line photos, and Finisher Tent needs. This option is only available to Loredo and 5k participants. Simply show up an hour and a half before race start to help and about 15 minutes before race starts, you can join everyone at the starting line for a pre-race warm-up.

Supporting/not running, but want to serve your running community and still get the swag? No problem, just click on volunteer on the above menu and choose from the available positions. These positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Full Race Volunteers Will Receive:

• Race Swag: Included for volunteers.
• Free Entry: 1 free entry to a future Rad Racing Company event.
