"Maranacook Lake Association and Watershed Friends on the 4th" 5K Run/Walk

🎉 Event Overview

We are excited to announce the partnership between Maranacook Lake Association and the Watershed Friends to continue this beloved community event on its 23rd anniversary!! Start the 4th of July off on the right foot and join the gang at Central Maine's most popular race!

🏃 Race Course

The "Friends on the 4th" 5K course is a forgiving, "feel good" race open for all runners, joggers and walkers.

• Course Details: Most of the course follows the beautiful eastern shore of Maranacook Lake.
• Start Location: American Legion, 117 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop, ME.
• Check-in: Begins at 7:00 am.
• Race Time: Starts at 8:00 am.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be presented for the following age groups:

• Categories: Men & Women, 1st place awards for age groups 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

📝 Registration Information

• Payment Deadline: Must be received by midnight, EST on Sunday, June 15, 2025, to guarantee a race T-shirt.
• Online Registration: Open until 3:00 pm EST on July 3, 2025.
• Same Day Registration: Begins at 7:00 am and ends at 7:45 am.
• Registration Fee: A $40 registration fee will be charged. Cash is strongly encouraged for same day registration.

For the safety of runners, parking is not allowed along the race route. Parking attendants will guide participants & spectators to designated parking areas.

⚠️ Important Notice

Same day registrations may be limited or not available depending on state of Maine regulations. PRE-REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Due to ordering deadlines, register by June 15th to be guaranteed a T-shirt.
