👥 About the DUH!SCIPLES

The DUH!SCIPLES youth ministry of Epworth UMC in Concord are a tight-knit community of students who are learning what it means to follow Jesus and how to do life together.

• Leadership: Learning about servant leadership
• Impact: Developing confidence and compassion

🌄 Summer Activities

This summer, the DUH!SCIPLES (and their brave adult chaperones) will be spending a week in Asheville, partnering with Cross Connection and the Haywood St. congregation.

• Service: Opportunities to serve those without homes
• Engagement: Breaking down stereotypes and barriers
• Relationships: Developing genuine connections
• Experience: Weekly service-focused learning

🏡 Backyard Mission Camp

The DUH!SCIPLES will also be tackling another year of Backyard Mission Camp.

• Engagement: Students engage in service in their local area
• Skills: Learning about local resources
• Leadership: Creating confident, compassionate servants

😂 Join the Fun!

At their core, the DUH!SCIPLES are a big group of goofballs who enjoy being silly, having fun and celebrating everything!

• Costumes: Feel free to wear your best costume or goofy outfit
• Inflatables: Inflatable costumes are always welcome and encouraged!
• Camaraderie: Whether participating or cheering, join in the fun!

🕒 Race Details

• Start Times: 1 mile Fun Run starts at 8:30am, 5K at 9:00am
• Weather: Race will be held rain or shine
• Awards: Given for top 3 finishers in each group
• Inclusions: Participation medal, t-shirt, and post-race refreshments

📅 Registration

Register by April 19th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

📦 Race Packet Pickup

• Location: Starting at 8:00am on race day at the Dogwood Shelter
