BMW Performance Classic 2-Mile Run / Walk - 26th Annual

Event Information

This is a Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield event.

Race Capacity

• Participant Limit: We will increase the capacity to 450 participants.
• Carpooling: Expected continued support of participant carpooling to facilitate on-site parking.
• Hot Laps: We will not have Hot Laps this year.

Spectator Registration

• Requirements: All spectators regardless of age must register ('SPECTATOR') with waiver at no charge.

Merchandise

• Phone Pouch: We are offering a BMW Performance Classic Running Phone Pouch for OPTIONAL purchase.
• Vintage Shirts: Available for purchase ($10 cash) during race day packet pickup while supplies last.

Participant Guidelines

• Age Requirement: Minimum participant age is 5 years old, in line with RRCA guidelines.
• Finish Capability: All registered participants should be able to finish the race on their own (not in a stroller, or carried by an adult).
• Strollers: Permitted but should line up in the back of the field.
• Dogs: Not permitted.

Important Dates

• August 18th: Registration Opens. Past races have reached capacity quickly.
• August 31st: Early registration deadline (Price increase from $15 to $20).
• September 18th: Pre-Race Packet Pickup 5:00-7:00 PM at Fleet Feet, 635 Augusta St, Greenville.
• September 19th: Race Day. Packet Pickup 5:00-6:00 PM. Race Start is at 6:15 PM.

Parking

• Capacity: All participants can park at the Performance Center, carpooling is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.
• Overflow Parking: Late-comers may need to park across Highway 101 with shuttle service.
• Door Prize: All carpool participants will receive a special door prize drawing ticket.

Course

• Course Map: See the Course Map (downloadable pdf) below.
• Distance: This is a 2-Mile road race on a closed course, the BMW Performance Center track.
• Terrain: Flat and fast with only a couple of small hills.

Running Phone Pouch

• Optional Order: Special BMW Performance Classic Running Phone Pouches are OPTIONAL and can be ordered separately.

Hot Laps

Due to supply chain issues (part and service shortages) we will not have Hot Laps this year.

Awards

• Categories: Individual awards for top 3 finishers in Open Male, Open Female, 12-and-under Male, 12-and-under Female, Masters Male, Masters Female, Grandmasters Male, Grandmasters Female, Senior Grandmasters Male, Senior Grandmasters Female.
• Team Awards: Corporate Shield Team awards for the top 3 overall teams in Open, Female, Masters, Grandmasters categories.
