- What: 11th Annual Chas Foundation 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk

Description
- Purpose: A charity fundraiser event now in its 11th year benefiting local initiatives to improve delivery of mental health care in the Hampton Roads area.
- Course: A certified fast out and back 5K course and a 1-mile Fun Run through the scenic Harbour View area of Suffolk.
- Amenities: Race bling includes a custom short sleeve tech running shirt for the first 250 participants with a guaranteed shirt size before July 19, 2025.
- Post-Race: Coffee and donuts served after the race, plus an "After race Meet-Up" at MoMac Brewery for $3.10 pints.
Course Information
- Location: Start and finish areas are located at Towne Bank University.
- Route: A certified scenic, flat, paved 5K and 1-mile course meandering through neighborhood streets alongside a golf course.
- Support: The race includes a water stop and course marshals for safety.
Benefit
- Proceeds: Funds raised will be used by the Chas Foundation to improve access to local mental health care.
- Engagement: Board members will be on site to answer questions and explain ongoing programs supported by this race.

- 8:00 AM: Opening Ceremonies
- 8:15 AM: 1-mile Fun Run/Walk
- 8:45 AM: 5K (3.1 miles) Race
- 9:30 AM: Award Ceremony
- 9:45 AM: Finish Line Closes
Awards
- Categories: The top 3 Overall male and female will receive an award. 1st overall male and female Masters will receive an award.
- Age Groups: The top 3 male and female finishers in 10-year age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99 will receive an award.
- Fun Run: There are no awards given in the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.

- Shirts: Great race swag for both events includes a short sleeve "tech" running shirt for the first 250 registrants.
- Order Deadline: Shirt order will be placed on July 19, 2025, after 12:00 noon.
