McLeod Health & Fitness Center Kids Splash and Dash

🏊‍♂️ Event Overview

Come join us for the only USAT Splash and Dash in South Carolina. This race will consist of a 150yd swim and a 2k (1.2 mile) run. Ages 5-17 are welcome to sign up and be a part of this awesome event. Multi-Sport is a great way for kids to challenge themselves, put two sports together and push their endurance.

🏃‍♀️ Race Format

• Staggered Start: This is a staggered start event with athletes entering the pool every 20 seconds.
• Age Group Progression: We will start with the 16-17 age group and work our way down.
• Two Laps: You must then complete 2 laps of the McLeod Health and Fitness Center before you can enter the finishing chute.
• Swimmer Questionnaire: Please ensure to fill out the swimmer questionnaire below to guarantee you are lined up appropriately. Note: overall placement is dependent on individual race time, not lineup.

👨‍👧 Guardian Participation

Guardians of younger participants are welcome to run alongside their athlete for the run portion!

📝 What to Bring

• Swimsuit: Essential for the swim.
• Goggles: For clear vision underwater.
• Swim Cap: Optional for the race.
• Socks and Running Shoes: Required for the run.
• Towel: For drying off after the swim.
• Positive Attitude: Bring your enthusiasm!

👕 T-Shirt Information

To guarantee a T-shirt you must be registered by 7/5/2026.

🏅 Awards

All Participants will get a custom finish medal!!! Top boy and girl per age group will receive an award.

🎖️ Age Groups

5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-15, 16-17. You are in the age group according to what your age is as of 12/31/2026. This falls in line with USAT rules. Ex. If you are 7 on July 20th, but you turn 8, on September 8th, you will be in the 8-10yr age category.

💰 Aquathon Fees

$25 per athlete
Registration ends on 7/17
T-shirt guarantee cut-off is 7/5
Capped at 100 participants.
