Goose Pond Frantic Frog Sprint Triathlon and 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Rescheduling: Due to the weather cancellation on May 24th, we have rescheduled the triathlon for August 30th. Anyone already registered for the canceled event is in this one.
• Registration: Registration is still opened for anyone wanting to participate on August 30.
• 5k Addition: We have opened up another 5k for that date as well. These would be all new registrations, so if you are interested, please sign up today!
• Location: The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama.

🚨 Event Changes

• Half Iron Distance: Due to cost and decreasing participation, we have regretfully decided to discontinue the Half Iron Distance starting in 2025.
• New 5k Event: We have added a 5k Run to the event this year, for those that don't feel challenged to participate in the Triathlon.
• Course Information: It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion. You won’t need a USAT membership for the 5k.
• Invitation: We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue!

📅 Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant.
• Parking: Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area.
• Race Day Arrival: If you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early to avoid delays.
• Check-in Deadline: Participants need to be checked in by 7:30 AM and transition closes at 7:45 AM.

• Race Schedule: Frantic Frog Sprint race includes a 500 meter Swim, 14 mile Bike & 5K run beginning at 8 AM Central.
• Swim Course: The swim will start at the end of the pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Map Link
• Bike Course: Bike will be an out & back course. Map Link
• Run Route: The run will also be an out and back route into the campground & return to finish by transition. Map Link

🎽 Athlete Amenities

• Race Packet: Race packets will include a race t-shirt and swim cap (must be worn).
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive FINISHER MEDALS.
• Insurance Option: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration in the event you are unable to compete. Please review this option during registration.
• USAT Sanctioned: Goose Pond Island Half Iron Distance Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. USAT officials will referee the event.

🏆 Awards and Policies

• Awards: Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers & top male and female masters. Age group awards for first, second, and third place in various age categories.
• No Refund Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy. Insurance is available during registration.
• Entry Transfer: Race entries are non-transferable between individuals.
• Event Cancellation Policy: If a Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, all registered participants need to accept the risk associated with their entry fee.
