StarKid 5K

Event Overview

Join us for the StarKid 5K and Family Fun Run on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Fairfax Corner Shopping Center! It's a fun-filled morning of fitness, music, and community. All ages are welcome to run, jog, walk, or cheer on participants—strollers and pets included! You can even create or join a team for some friendly competition.

Beneficiary Information

• Support: Since 2006, the StarKid 5K has supported Inova Children’s.
• Previous Focus: Originally supporting the Pediatric Heart Program.
• Current Focus: Proceeds now benefit pediatric services across Inova Health System.
• Specific Initiative: This year’s funds support the new Pediatric Emergency Room at Inova Fairfax!

Inova Pediatric Emergency Room

• Certification: Inova Fairfax Hospital is Northern Virginia’s only Level I Trauma Center.
• Activity Level: It's the 3rd busiest ER in the nation.
• Pediatric Focus: The Inova Pediatric Emergency Room is the busiest pediatric ER in the region, handling over 63,000 visits in 2023.
• Expansion: Inova has expanded the ER as part of the Do. More. Together campaign.

• 9:30 a.m.: Awards and Prizes

Registration Fees

• 5K: $30
• Fun Run: $15
• 4 & Under with a StarKid shirt: $10
• 4 & Under without a StarKid shirt: Free

Packet Pick-up Information

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up:

• Friday, June 5: 7:00-11:00 a.m. at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital, Lobby area near Panera, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042.
• Saturday, June 6: 12:00-4:00 p.m. at Potomac River Running, 11895 Grand Commons Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Race Day Packet Pick-up:

• Sunday, June 1st: 6:30-8:00 a.m. at Plaza at Fairfax Corner, 4100 Monument Corner Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.

NOTE: Race Day Packet Pickup closes 30 minutes before each race, so arrive early!

Awards

• 5K: First place overall male and female
• Fun Run: Overall winner

All registered participants will receive a finisher medal!
