Flo-Town 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The City of Florence Employee Wellness Program and Florence Track Club have partnered to bring you the 10th Annual Flo-Town 5K Run/Walk. The certified course will begin at the City's Waste Water Management Facility quickly accessing the Florence Trail System's Freedom Florence Connections. These trails, located in East Florence, make up approximately 8 miles of the City's Trail system. The course is comprised of natural beauty and history adjacent to the tranquil Jeffries Creek and the Florence Stockade. The Stockade and neighboring National Cemetery developed during the Civil War, and veterans from all wars since that time have been, and are still being, interred here.

🌳 Course Details

• Path: Runners and walkers will follow a natural path that winds through the woods adjacent to Jeffries Creek.
• Boardwalks: Participants will cross a boardwalk bridge that passes over the southern wall of the stockade.
• Historical Significance: The trail enters an area that was once a Confederate prisoner-of-war camp for Union soldiers during the American Civil War.
• Finish Line: Participants will finish at the adjacent Waste Water Management Facility, where they will have access to showers and restrooms.

• Location: 1000 Stockade Drive, Florence, SC
• Proceeds: All proceeds go to the Florence Track Club.

👕 Shirt Details

T-shirts guaranteed if you register by 4/16/2025 – shirts will be given out on race day as long as they are available.

• Sizes: Adult sizes available: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL

📝 Event Special Notes

• Strollers: Strollers are welcome but this is a trail run and there are areas that may be challenging for strollers.
• Music: Feel free to listen to music while running.
• Dogs: Well-socialized and friendly dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and under the control of owners at all times.
• Responsibility: Owners are responsible for animal behavior and cleaning up. Reactive or dangerous animals will be asked to leave.

• Winners: Top Male & Female and Masters Male and Female Overall winners.
• Canines: Top 3 Canines.
• Age Group Awards: (top 3) for the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60+.
• Registration: Early registration up to 4/16/25 - $35.00, Late registration & day of event: $45.00.
