25th Annual River City Rat Race

The race will take place on 2026-10-18 at Historic Old Fort Rivergreenway, Fort Wayne, IN.

Described by Runner’s World writer Hal Higdon as “One of the most scenic 10K’s I’ve ever run”, the River City Rat Race is a 10K Race and 5K Race through the autumn parks and riverfront of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. The race is fun and family-friendly, and benefits the local YMCA.

Race Registration

• Registration Requirement: YOU NEED TO REGISTER FOR THE RACE YOU WANT TO RUN. The map is different this year so please only register for the race you want to finish.
• Packet Pick-up: Saturday Oct. 18th, from 4-6:00pm at the Central Branch YMCA, 1020 S. Barr Street, and race day at Freimann Square from 11:00-1:00pm at 201 E. Main St.
• Pre-race Day Registration: Available on Oct. 18th from 4-6:00pm at packet pick-up for $50 at the downtown YMCA: 1020 S. Barr St.
• Race Day Registration: $60

$50 prize for top male and female runners for each race. $50 prize for top Masters male and female for each race.
