LARC in the Park 5K Run/Walk

Race Overview

Lace up for Rockland's libraries! Join us for the 2nd Annual LARC in the Park 5K Run/Walk at Rockland Lake State Park on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Library Association of Rockland County (LARC) Scholarship Fund and professional development for members. LARC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supporting and promoting Rockland’s public libraries.

Pricing

• Online 5K entry (ages 17 and older): $32.80 (before 9/30/2026, thereafter $43.40)
• Online 5K entry (ages 16 and younger): $22.20
• Kids' Dewey Decimal Dash (up to age 10): FREE
• First 150 5K participants: The first 150 5K participants to register will receive library-themed socks
• Registration: Prices include race entry and processing fees: registration is via online entry only, and registration closes at 9:45am 10/18/2026

Schedule

• Race day registration: Opens at 9:00am
• Kids' Dewey Decimal Dash: Begins at 9:30am
• 5K Run/Walk: Begins at 10:00am

Entering Rockland Lake State Park

• Entrance: Use the North Entrance
• Parking: Proceed to parking lot #1
• Entrance Fee: Rockland Lake State Park charges an entrance fee of $10 per vehicle after 8:00am

Awards Ceremony

Our awards ceremony will take place shortly following the 5K.

• Overall winners: Male and Female winners
• Age Group winners: Top 3 Male and Female age group winners in categories: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Additional Information

Strollers: Strollers are welcome. Please have your furry friends sit this one out.
