Lace up for Rockland's libraries! Join us for the 2nd Annual LARC in the Park 5K Run/Walk at Rockland Lake State Park on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Library Association of Rockland County (LARC) Scholarship Fund and professional development for members. LARC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supporting and promoting Rockland’s public libraries.
Pricing
- Online 5K entry (ages 17 and older): $32.80 (before 9/30/2026, thereafter $43.40)
- Online 5K entry (ages 16 and younger): $22.20
- Kids' Dewey Decimal Dash (up to age 10): FREE
- First 150 5K participants: will receive library-themed socks
- Fees: Prices include race entry and processing fees
- Registration: Registration is via online entry only. Registration closes at 9:45am on 10/18/2026
Schedule
- Race day registration: opens at 9:00am
- Kids' Dewey Decimal Dash: begins at 9:30am
- 5K Run/Walk: begins at 10:00am
Entering Rockland Lake State Park
- Entrance: Use the North Entrance
- Parking: Proceed to parking lot #1
- Fees: Rockland Lake State Park charges an entrance fee of $10 per vehicle after 8:00am
Awards Ceremony
Our awards ceremony will take place shortly following the 5K.

- Top 3 age group winners: Male and Female in categories:
- Categories: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Notes
Strollers are welcome. Please have your furry friends sit this one out.
