🏃‍♂️ NORRIS ULTRA DAM HARD TRAIL RACE

🕒 TIME & PLACE

• Race Start: 25k and 50k races start at 8:00am.
• Location: Starts/Finishes at the pavilion near the Tea Room - Norris Dam State Park, Norris, TN.

🏞️ COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Trail Type: Both race options will take place on single track trails and jeep roads across Norris Dam State Park and Norris Municipal Watershed areas.
• Course Loops: The 25k course goes one loop while the 50k goes two.
• Time Limits: 25k has a 4:40 time limit: 50k has a 9 hour time limit: 50k runners must reach halfway and leave the aid station within 4 hours.
• Aid Stations: Multiple aid stations will be accessible by road for spectators and supporters.

🏕️ ACCOMMODATIONS

• Camping: Norris Dam State Park has two campgrounds with water and electric hook-ups and dump stations.
• Cabins: Rustic cabins and Deluxe Cabins are available for rent.
• Nearby Lodging: Additional options are available at Exit 122 at I-75 and Andersonville Hwy 61 junction.

⚠️ COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification Rights: Rights to disqualify anyone exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct.
• Restrictive Items: No headsets, bikes, strollers, or pets on the course due to insurance regulations.

🛑 SAFETY

• Aid Stations: Aid and water stations are provided: runners urged to carry their own water.
• Insect Precautions: Those sensitive to stings should carry their medication.
• Pre-race Training: Offroad training is encouraged for a better experience.

🔍 SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Child Safety: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to run.
• Minimum Pace: 18:00/mile minimum pace enforced: each race will have a sweeper.

🚫 DON'T TAKE A BIB IF YOU'RE NOT RUNNING

• Safety Concern: Taking a bib indicates you are running: non-appearance will cause safety concerns.
• Drop Out Policy: Notify race officials if you must drop out of the race.

• Weather Monitoring: Weather forecasts monitored prior to event: safety is the top priority.
• Race Adjustments: Possible alterations may include changing start time, course adjustment, or cancellation due to extreme weather.
• Abandonment Policy: Participants must abandon the race if ordered by race or medical personnel.
