NORRIS ULTRA DAM HARD TRAIL RACE

TIME & PLACE

• Start Time: 25k and 50k races start at 8:00am.
• Start/Finish Location: Pavilion near the Tea Room - Norris Dam State Park, Norris, TN.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Trail Type: Single track trails and jeep roads.
• Course Distance: 25k and 50k courses are identical: shorter race completes one loop, and the longer one completes two.
• Aid Stations: Multiple aid stations accessible by road for spectators and supporters.
• Time Limits: 25k has a 4:40 time limit: 50k has a 9 hour limit with halfway checkpoint requirement.

ACCOMMODATIONS

• Campgrounds: Two campgrounds at Norris Dam State Park with water and electric hook-up.
• Cabins: Rustic cabins and Deluxe Cabins are available at Norris Dam State Park.
• Other Lodging: Additional lodging options are available at Exit 122 at I-75 and Andersonville Hwy 61 junction.

TTT SERIES AWARDS

• Awards: Top 3 finishers in each division receive free race entries.
• Drawings: Two lucky runners will win shoes, thanks to Runners Market sponsorship.
• Eligibility: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the trail race season for awards.
• Award Presentation: Awards will be presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December.

T-SHIRTS

• Special Edition: Limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series.
• Shirt Policy: One shirt per runner per season to support trail-friendly causes.

SPECIAL FINISHER AWARD

• Medal: A deluxe finisher's medal will be awarded to 25k and 50k finishers.

SPECIAL SERIES AWARDS

• Points System: Points awarded for overall finish and volunteerism at each TTT Series race.
• Grand Prize: Overall top male, female, and masters will receive a grand prize from a sponsor.
• Eligibility: Must be a current KTC member and volunteer at least twice for series awards.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike conduct or abuse of volunteers may result in disqualification.
• Prohibited Items: Headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades, or pets are not allowed.

SAFETY

• Stations: Aid and water stations will be provided, but runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Medication: Runners sensitive to insect stings/bites should carry their own medication.
• Training: Pre-race offroad training is highly recommended.
• Experience: Safety is a priority, and experience enhances enjoyment.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Minimum Age: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for adult races.
• Pacing: Minimum pace of 18:00/mile enforced: sweepers will be present.

IMPORTANT BIB DETAILS

• No Bib Taking: Only take a bib if running to ensure safety of all participants.
• Communication: Notify race officials if dropping out to stay accounted for.
• Bib Care: Keep bib unspoiled for accurate time and finish place recording.
