Norris Ultra Dam Hard Trail Race

NORRIS ULTRA DAM HARD TRAIL RACE

TIME & PLACE:

• Start Time: 25k and 50k races start at 8:00am.
• Location: Starts/Finishes at the pavilion near the Tea Room - Norris Dam State Park, Norris, TN.
• Race Options: Both races will have multiple aid stations easily accessible by road for spectators and supporters.
• Time Limits: 25k has a 4:40 time limit, and the 50k has a 9 hour time limit.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

• Terrain: Single track trails and jeep roads across Norris Dam State Park and Norris Municipal Watershed areas.
• Loops: The 25k course is one loop: the 50k course runs two loops.
• Halfway Check: 50k runners must reach halfway and leave the aid station within 4 hours.
• Aid Stations: Provided for both race options.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

• Camping: Norris Dam State Park has two campgrounds with water and electric hook-up.
• Cabins: Rustic and Deluxe Cabins available at Norris Dam State Park.
• Lodging: Additional accommodations available at Exit 122 at I-75 and Andersonville Hwy 61 junction.

TTT SERIES AWARDS:

• Awards: The top 3 in each division will receive free race entries.
• Drawing: Two lucky runners will win a pair of shoes thanks to Runners Market.
• Holiday Party: Awards will be presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December.
• Volunteer Requirement: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the trail race season to qualify.

T-SHIRTS:

• Limited Edition: Special shirts will be printed for the series.
• One Per Runner: Only one shirt per runner PER SEASON to support trail friendly causes.

SPECIAL FINISHER AWARD:

• Medal: A deluxe finisher's medal will be awarded to those completing the 25k and 50k.

SPECIAL SERIES AWARDS:

• Point System: Points awarded for overall finish and volunteerism at each TTT Series race.
• Qualified Earners: Top point earners will receive awards at the end of the series.
• Grand Prize: Top male and female, as well as top masters, will receive valuable prizes from sponsors.
• Volunteer Requirement: KTC membership and volunteering for two Treadin’ Trodden Trails events to qualify.

RESULTS:

COURSE ETIQUETTE:

• Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike conduct or abuse toward volunteers can lead to disqualification.
• Regulations: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades, or pets on the course.

SAFETY:

• Water Stations: Aid and water stations will be provided, but runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Medication: Runners sensitive to insect stings/bites should carry their own medication.
• Training: Pre-race off-road training is strongly recommended for a better experience.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION:

• Age Requirement: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
• Pace Enforcement: An 18:00/mile minimum pace will be enforced, with a sweeper assigned to each race.
• Disqualification Risk: Runners falling behind pace risk disqualification.

BIB POLICY:

• Bib Safety: Do not take a bib if you are not running: it is important for tracking safety.
• Notification: Inform race officials if you drop out of the race.
• Condition: Do not fold or alter your bib to ensure time recording is accurate.
