Saunders Springs Shootout presented by Radcliff/Fort Knox Tourism

🏞️ Race Overview

Two days of fun are headed to the trails at Saunders Springs Nature Preserve, April 11-12, 2026.

On Saturday, come challenge yourself — or bring a crew — in solo, duo, or four-person classes in mountain biking endurance races.

On Sunday, the trails come back to life with the sounds of runners. Choose between the 5K, 10K, and 25K distances.

Both the run and bike courses are 99% singletrack, with that perfect Saunders Springs mix of scenic and “who designed this hill?” tough.

All proceeds support the Saunders Springs Betterment Fund, KyMBA Lincoln Trails, and the local trail community.

📍 Start/Finish Location

All races start in the lower area of the nature preserve.

The Kids races take place at the Stovall Cabin

🚴 Mountain Bike Events - Saturday, April 11

• Adult 4-Person Team: $40 per person — 1:00 PM
• Duo: 6 Hour Endurance (Male/Female/Open) — $40 per person — 1:05 PM
• Junior 4-Person Team: (Ages 11–17 | Male/Female/Open) — $20 per person — 1:10 PM
• Solo: 6 Hour Endurance (Male/Female) — $40 per person — 1:15 PM

Party Lappers — $20 per person — Anytime after 1:20 PM

Kids MTB Race (up to 10 years old) — Free — 2:00 PM

eMTBs are welcome in the Open classes.

One lap, anytime after 1:20pm. No timing, no awards. Just the pride of knowing you helped keep our park, teams, and club growing the local outdoor recreation community.

🏃 Trail Run Events — Sunday, April 12

• 5K: $25 — 8:00 AM
• 10K: $30 — 8:00 AM
• 25K Trail Race: $40 — 8:00 AM
• Kids Race: Free — 9:00 AM (Stovall Cabin)
