Wanderers' Trail Race

WANDERERS' 5K TRAIL RACE AND KIDS TRAIL MILE

TIME & PLACE

• 5K Start: 2:00pm
• Kids Race Start: 1:30pm
• Location: McArthur Pavilion at Maryville College, Maryville TN

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• Terrain: The 5k course meanders through the woods, crossing hills, dales, rocks, roots, streams, and grassy knolls.
• Kids Race: Kid’s Trail Mile precedes the main race at 1:30pm, running a similar fun course in the woods.
• Timing: The race will be chip timed.

POST RACE

• Food: We’ll have our usual post-race fare at the Pavilion after the race.
• Fun: After cheering everyone in, we'll head to TriHop Brewery for more fun.
• Entertainment: The Drift Boat Cowboys will be on stage.
• Discount: Your bib will get you a discount on your recovery fluids!

REGISTRATION AND FEES

• Policy: No refunds and no bib transfers.
• Discount: KTC member discount accepted.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Conduct: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone showing unsportsmanlike conduct or being abusive to volunteers.

AID STATIONS

• Greener Options: Aid will be provided, but runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Insect Precautions: Anyone sensitive to insect stings or bites should carry their medication.
• Training: We recommend pre-race training off-road for experience.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Requirement: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the adult race.
• Pace Policy: We will enforce an 18:00/mile minimum pace going forward.

BIB REQUIREMENTS

• Safety: Don’t take a bib if you’re not running.
• Communication: If you drop out, please inform a race official.
• Integrity: Do not crunch, fold, or tear your bib.
