💜 In Memory of Coach Mike Novak
- Legacy: This year marks the first season that the Grosse Pointe South T&F programs will be without our longtime, beloved coach, Mike Novak, who passed away last summer after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
- Passion: Mike was a true Blue Devil, a man dedicated to the sport of running but more importantly, passionate about helping young athletes become the best version of themselves.
- Impact: A long-time educator and coach, he impacted the lives of countless individuals. He was a true hero.
- Tribute: Mike was also a fantasy author of three novels (“Wandering Wizard” series) and was often called “Gandalf:” this event is our humble attempt to honor his legacy.
👟 Walk Details
- Event: The 1 Mile Walk will take place prior to the 1st Annual Wandering Wizard Track and Field Invitational.
- Registration: Participants can register online through the official race page.
- Community: Join us in supporting this cause while celebrating the life of a remarkable individual.
