2025 YMCA Santa Run 5K/10K and One Mile Elf Run/Walk (HYBRID RACE) December 13, 2025 (Dec. 12-14, 2025 for Virtual)

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• In-Person: 12/13/2025 at Monocacy Village Park, Time: 9:00am
• Virtual Race: Run anywhere between 12/12-14/2025, Time: Friday 8am - Sunday 5pm

📅 Race Day Information

• Registration: Starts at 7:00am until 9:00am at the table with registration signs.
• Packet Pick-Up: For Saturday - at the Pavilion. Please follow signs.
• Dogs: Allowed on the course if leashed and properly vaccinated.
• Strollers: Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered.

📦 Before Race Day

• Packet Pick Up: In-Person and Virtual Races on 12/11 and 12/12 from 9am - 8pm at Downtown YMCA.
• Recommendation: Pick up your shirt and bib on Thursday or Friday to avoid crowds on race day.
• Someone Else’s Packet: You may pick up someone else's packet, but all packets must be picked up.
• Virtual Race Note: $15.00 fee for mailing packets if living more than 50 miles from Frederick, MD.

⏰ Race Start Times

• Virtual Runners: May run starting Friday, December 12 at 8:00am to Sunday, December 14 at 5:00pm.
• In-Person Runners: One Mile Elf Run starts at 9:00am, 5K and 10K starts at approximately 9:20am.
• Completion: All race walkers must complete the race by 11:00am.
• Bib Reminder: Pin down all four corners of your bib on your garment properly.

🏆 Awards

• Overall women and men for the 5K and 10K will be announced after live results at the pavilion area.
• 1st place winners for Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

🏞️ Race Courses

The 5K race starts at Monocacy Park, returns back after 2 U-turns on Shifferstadt Blvd. The 10K race consists of 2 laps of the 5K course, while the One Mile is an out and back route from the park to Mohican Drive.

A water station will be located at the U-turn on Shifferstadt Blvd. A first aid station/AED will be available at the pavilion race site.

🚗 Parking

There are several parking options available. Please respect public and private property.

• YMCA parking lot with a short walk across East Street to the park.
• Delaware Road between the park entrance and East Street - avoid residential areas.
• Local road running parallel to East Street and railroad tracks.
• Monocacy Village Park parking lot is closed to participants, except for staff and volunteers.

👕 Race Shirt

Shirt sizes are available for ages 5 and up. Shirt size guaranteed if registered by October 31, 2025.

Ages 1-4 will receive a race cinch bag instead of a shirt.

🎽 Bibs

Remember to secure your bib properly to capture your times. One Mile Elf Run participants do not need bibs.

🌐 Virtual Racers Only

If signed up for the virtual race, follow the instructions provided in your email for downloading the RaceJoy app.

🥇 Finisher Medals

Everyone receives a finisher medal that doubles as a holiday ornament!

🏅 Awards (In-Person Race Only)

Overall male and female in each race category for 5K and 10K will be recognized. First-place winners will be announced for each age group.
