🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill & Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk through gravel roads, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail.

🗺️ Course Details

Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. Two major hills define the course:

• First Climb: Elevation gain from 919 ft to 1,056 ft through wooded and grassy paths.
• Final Ascent to Eastern Overlook: Elevation gain from 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft on gravel roads, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding valley.

🎉 Fun Run & Finish

After reaching the overlook, runners and walkers will double back and enjoy a fast, mostly downhill finish to the starting line. A Kids1 Mile Fun Run on a mostly flat incline will kick off immediately after the runners head up the hill.
