Come join us for a FREE 5k on 4th of July at East Jersey Old Town Village. This year we will be having a 5k to kick off our 4th of July celebrations. The run is on paved roads and paths. You will start at the village and run 2 loops of an out and back along Johnson drive which will be closed to traffic.

🏛️ About East Jersey Old Town Village

This special historic village has delighted visitors with a glimpse into the past since its opening in 1978.

• Historic Structures: Features buildings from the 1700s and 1800s, relocated to its site within Johnson Park.
• Architecture Styles: Represents different architectural styles found throughout Middlesex County’s Raritan Valley.
• Preservation Effort: Founded by Dr. Joseph Kler and local residents who saved most buildings from demolition.
• Park Tour: Join us for a run that will take you on a tour of the park.

• Parking/Check In: Opens at 7:15 AM
• Race Starts: At 8:30 AM
• Awards: As soon as race finishes

🎶 Event Highlights

Join General George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and Baron von Steuben for a commemoration of the feu de joie (fire of joy) that took place on the banks of the Raritan River on July 4th, 1778.

• Concert: Enjoy a concert of patriotic-themed music on the front lawn.
• Storytelling: Listen to 18th-century music and hear stories from historic figures at the Indian Queen Tavern.
• Food Options: Lady Kettle Corn, The Craft Caffe, and The Mexi-Boys will serve up savory eats and sweet treats.
• Transportation: FREE, accessible, on-demand shuttle service will be available.
